William T. Ackerman is Of Counsel with Klausner, Kaufman, Jensen & Levinson. Previously, Mr. Ackerman served for nearly nine years as Chief Counsel for the Missouri Local Government Employees Retirement System (MOLAGERS). MOLAGERS is the third largest public employee retirement system in Missouri, with over $4 billion in assets. The system serves more than 40,000 active members and retired employees from 555 cities, counties, and special districts throughout the state of Missouri.

Mr. Ackerman received his B.A. from the University of California, Irvine, and his M.A. from California State University, Fullerton. He received his Juris Doctorate from Western State University College of Law, where he received the American Jurisprudence Award in Constitutional Law.

In 1988, Mr. Ackerman was admitted to the California Bar. From 1988 to 1995, he represented employers in both the public and private sectors, specializing in labor and employment law. In 1994, Mr. Ackerman was admitted to the Missouri Bar.

Mr. Ackerman is an accomplished speaker who does several presentations each year on topics such as fiduciary responsibility and retirement planning. He is a member of the National Association of Public Pension Attorneys. He is also an adjunct faculty member at Columbia College, where he has taught courses in Business Law and Business Communication. Mr. Ackerman currently resides in Laguna Hills, California.
